Organizations

Open access is an international movement and the issue of open science ranks high on scholarly and political agendas worldwide. Below are links to the websites of some national and international organisations that routinely focus on this issue.

• National Plan Open Science

• Lots of factual information about open access can be found in the Open Access Directory.

• SPARC (Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition) is an international organisation that plays a leading role in the field of open access. Their website provides comprehensive information about matters such as repositories, and publishing and disseminating information via open access.

• Knowledge Exchange is an international partnership for innovation within the IT infrastructure for higher education and research. One of the partners is the Dutch organisation SURF, which also actively supports open access.
