DANS (Data Archiving and Networked Services) organizes an "Open day on Open Science: Love to share data" on February 14, 2019, 12:00-17:00h CET at NWO, The Hague.

In the context of monitoring open access to publications, DANS has again made an analysis of the publications in NARCIS from the repositories of Dutch universities.

Recently, a number of new graphs have been published on the NARCIS portal.

A milestone for NARCIS, the scholarly portal of the Netherlands. Thanks to many researchers and repository managers there are 500,000 open access scholarly publications accessible via NARCIS.

Via the national scholarly portal NARCIS 450,000 open access publications are now accessible.

The principle of open access is widely supported within the Dutch academic world. Its aim, the free sharing of academic research results in the interests of scholarship, is hardly disputed.
